Due to a heavy workload and a desire to expand, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for two Underground Utility Surveyors to join a leading specialist in underground pipes and cables in Doncaster.
The role is for 40 hours per week Monday-Friday You'll be met with a generous salary package as well as private health care.
The role
As an Underground Utility Surveyor you will be responsible for preparing the survey site and gathering survey data as well as managing a small crew.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Complying with legislative, client specific and company requirements in respect of Health & Safety, Environmental Safety and safe working practices.
- Ensuring that survey activities are conducted with due regard to the safety and welfare of colleagues and other persons.
- Ensuring that all company information, equipment and survey data is safeguarded at all times.
- Ensuring that survey data is accurately collected, interpreted and promptly recorded to enable completed drawings to be issued to the client within 5 days of survey completion.
- Gathering mapping data as instructed and verifying the results with Survey Team Leader.
- Notifying the Survey Team Leader of all circumstances that could impact on the professional completion of the allocated job or on the Company's overall performance.
- Notifying the Survey Team Leader where an allocated task is beyond the reasonable skill or experience of the jobholder so that adequate training/instruction may be provided.
We desire experience in the following, although full training will be provided:
- Electromagnetic/Radio Frequency techniques, RD , Vivax, Rigid.
- GPR (Ground probing RADAR) and associated software suites.
- Drainage surveys.
- Topographical surveys or a working knowledge thereof.
- CAD and a working knowledge of how site surveys and drawing are produced.
- Training in Health and Safety/Site Safety.
- Ability to work Nationally and Internationally.
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence.
