Hours:
Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, working evenings Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8pm on a rota basis. Participation in a out of hours on-call rota is a requirement of this role


Responsibilities


We are recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate who is passionate about supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence based in Hertfordshire.


You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic abuse at the highest risk and their children.

This will involve establishing and prioritising the risks to and the needs of survivors of domestic abuse and developing and delivering individual support and risk management plans in partnership with other agencies who attend the MARAC.


The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

You will advocate both verbally and in writing in a range of settings including civil and criminal proceedings and with criminal justice professionals.
