Quality Inspector/Goods In Inspector

Salary:
£24,000

Location:
Bedford

Hours - Mon - Thurs - 08:30am - 5pm, Fri - 08:30am - 2:30pm
***Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Goods In Inspector to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Bedford.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Goods In Inspector to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Responsibilities:

To inspect product to the relevant OIC's and Standards ensuring right first time objectives, for all areas.
Maintain and control product to specifications to prevent scrap and optimise productivity.
Inspect goods in materials against specifications and standards ensuring materials are available for production in a timely manner
Maintain and control material and delivery specifications in conjunction with Purchasing and Suppliers to prevent scrap and optimise
Assist in the reduction supplier rejects.
Log and action any internal scrap material.
Reduce corrective action requests and therefore customer complaints.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Assist in other departments as determined by business needs
Good communication skills, with the ability to work under their own initiative or as part of the larger team.

Experience/Education requirements:

GCSE Math's And English.
1 Years' Experience Within A Manufacturing Environment (Preferably In An Inspection Role)
Organised
Methodical
Computer Literate
Proactive
Knowledge Of Quality Standards Desirable
