Description
We have an amazing opportunity for an organised, self-motivated, and highly knowledgeable Head Housekeeper to support an international ultra-high-net-worth family in their Central London property.
Working closely with the House Manager and alongside another permanent housekeeper, you will ensure that this luxury property is maintained to the highest standard year-round.
Responsible for daily cleaning and organisation of the home, as well as liaising with service providers and tradesmen, you will be a brilliant communicator who is able to liaise at all levels.
You will have excellent knowledge of how to care for luxury furnishings and use of appropriate cleaning products, and the ability to train others.
When the family are in residence, additional temporary staff are hired, and you will be responsible for leading a small team of housekeepers and a laundress.
When the family are not in residence, working hours are very flexible and will most likely be 3-4 days per week, but greater flexibility is required in terms of hours and working days when the family are in residence.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Working under and being the right hand to the House Manager
- Daily cleaning of the property to include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, making beds and changing bed linen
- Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate items
- Overseeing and working alongside the housekeeper to ensure that the home is always guest ready
- Training and leading a small team of temporary staff when the family are in residence
- Assisting the House Manager with the purchasing of groceries and amenities for the household, taking receipt of deliveries/parcels and liaising with service providers and tradesmen
- Liaising with the wider team (drivers, security, butlers, nannies) when the family are in residence to ensure the smooth running of the family's day
- Ad hoc duties and errand running as required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Prior experience working for HNW or UHNW clients
- Prior yacht experience (ideally)
- Fluent English both spoken and written
- Selfmotivated, enthusiastic, organised and a proactive selfstarter
- A good allrounder with common sense and an eye for detail
- Team player who can lead from the front and is not afraid to get stuck in
- Approachable, cheerful, and flexible
- Wellpresented, intelligent, and articulate
- Highly reliable and trustworthy
- Londonbased & the right to live and work in the UK
- Excellent checkable references
Salary:
£50,000.00 per year
