    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled Second Chef to lead our food and beverage production team in the WO's & Sgt's Mess at Sodexo in Warminster Garrison. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing culinary expertise and organizational excellence, improving the quality of life for our armed forces personnel every day.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the kitchen in the absence of senior colleagues and provide support for the production team.
    • Direct the preparation and duties to commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff.
    • Work with the FOH team to drive service excellence.
    • Train, guide, and develop the kitchen team on the range.
    • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure employees follow standards and regulations.
    • Prepare, produce, and present food to the highest standard.

    Requirements:

    • NVQ Level 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
    • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft packages experience.
    • Experience in menu planning and production.
    • Exposure to bulk cooking.
    • The enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills.
