The Role:

As a D&T Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the D&T department and ensuring students receive the guidance and assistance they need to excel


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the D&T teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, catering to the diverse needs of students.
  • Providing oneonone support to students during practical activities, encouraging creativity and problemsolving skills.
  • Assisting with the preparation of materials and resources for D&T lessons and projects.
  • Offering guidance and supervision to students to ensure they adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a dynamic and stimulating learning environment.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a passion for Design and Technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A proactive approach to supporting learning and a willingness to adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or D&T (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
