This role will have the responsibility of providing IT operational support to end users both in person and remote. The main purpose of this role is to diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure
the smooth running of computer systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computer systems.
  • Support existing business IT infrastructure and endusers in the use of IT.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
  • Contribute to the resolution of open help desk tickets and incidents
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Record events and problems, customer status and resolution in logs
  • Assist in the management of local hardware and software
  • Other IT&S related projects as assigned

Required Skills / Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of various IT platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Windows clients and platforms in the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Must have good technical knowledge and customer focused
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Effective Team member but capable of working independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience:


  • 15 years direct experience in IT department, preferred

Education Requirements:


  • HNC or above in Computing relating qualification

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to work in a shop and field environment with light lifting
  • Ability to travel to EthosEnergy Aberdeen offices / sites.
