Description
An experienced Bookkeeper is required to join an established and reputable accountancy practice based north of York city centre.


This company prides itself on its commitment to work/life balance and ensuring that their team have the flexibility they need.

This is a full time position, 37.5 hours - you choose how to deliver that in your week. As long as you are in the office 10am-4pm4 days of the week, the rest is up to you.

Applicants will be considered from both practice and industry.


The role:


  • Bookkeeping, as part of a small team, for various clients ranging from sole traders to SME businesses. You will have your own portfolio of clients.
  • VAT returns and liaising with the HMRC.
  • Advising clients on best practice.
  • Payroll processing.

Your experience

  • Experienced in Bookkeeping practices with at least 4 years previous experience in either practice or industry.
  • Proficient computing skills in Practice Management, Microsoft Office, and commercial software accounting packages.
  • Experience of Xero is essential for this role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
