Talk Staff are partnering with a leading PE backed manufacturing business in Nottingham to assist in the recruitment of a Management Accountant.

You will be responsible for the finances of one of their most profitable UK operations.


The role:


  • Overhead control
  • To hold cost centre reviews with each cost centre owner making sure each cost centre is on track against the budget.


  • Balance sheet

  • On a monthly basis all of the balance sheet should be reconciled and explained.


  • Monthly profit reporting

  • To complete the accounts accurately and within deadlines identified. Identifying any discrepancies against the weekly reporting.


  • Weekly profit reporting

  • To be completed accurately and within deadlines.


  • Operational Variance analysis

  • To be able to report and explain to all levels of the business.


  • Rolling Forecasting

  • Build the site forecast and report to all levels of the business.


  • Group Requirements

  • To coordinate and communicate with group functions and external parties as required. Ensuring that reporting and control systems are reviewed and modified to comply with group standards.

Qualifications and experience:


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or a late stage studier
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret operational variances
  • Expert in interpretation financial data
  • Competent in use of Excel & Power point
**Salary & Working Hours

  • Salary is £45,000p/a
  • Working hours are Monday
  • Friday 8.30am 5pm
