Our unique Bedford based client who are a UK provider of specialist equipment are looking to recruit a Production Operative to join their expanding team.


The purpose of the Production Operator is to fulfil this role both safely and efficiently within that of the Production function.

Salary - £21,500 (increasing to £23,000 after 6 months)

Hours - Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Benefits - 25 days holiday + bank holiday, free on-site parking, and pension.


Duties & Responsibilities.

  • To communicate with Production Manager or a designated Supervisor/Team Leader and ensure an efficient operation.
  • Manual handling of products which can be all different sizes and weights.
  • To prepare products, including pre checks, de labelling and inspection following standard operating procedures.
  • Use of Personal Digital Assistant (PDA's) to scan and enter product units' information.
  • Liaise with Quality persons to ensure all products comply with quality procedures and licence agreements and Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • To keep stations, clean, tidy, and actively participate in operating cleaning equipment to ensure a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Liaise with Warehouse staff to ensure correct products are allocated to designated areas.

Essential experience.

  • Experienced in the use of handheld scanning equipment and interpretation of information on digital display screens.
  • Experience in similar role
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
