The project:
We are looking to recruitment a Cost Consultant who is passionate about cost and commercial management to join our Consult Health Team.

We would also like to meet experienced project professionals who would like to move into the health sector as we can develop your skillset for this industry.
You'll be responsible for:
- Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.
- Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
- Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.
- Handling contractual frameworks and standard form of contract
- Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.
- Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
You'll need to have:
- A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent and have previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration, specifically JCT and NEC, and knowledge of contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
- Understanding of hot topic issues such as sustainability, social value, carbon reduction and how these impact the public sector.
- Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and work well in a team.
- Experience in delivering projects in a consultancy environment, are keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
