cco are recruiting for A Packaging Compliance Technologist to work for a Major FMCG Company on the
Slough Trading Estate.
£140 Per day
12 Month Contract
Full Time Hours Per Week
Job Purpose.
The purpose of this job is to carry out packaging risk assessments to ensure that all packaging meets the required quality, product safety and regulatory requirements across the supply chain.
Specifically, this role involves liaising cross functionally and with suppliers to ensure risk assessments are completed to a high standard in a timely manner as well as to lead and implement continuous improvements in these areas.
Key Responsibilities.
- Accountable for the delivery of completed Packaging Risk Assessments covering all our clients portfolio primary packaging, (Flexibles, Rigids, Paper etc.) completed to a high standard in a timely manner.
- The Packaging Compliance Technologist will provide support for Packaging Risk assessments with responsibility for relevant standards implementation, verification and reporting.
- Primary Interface with suppliers for the completion of packaging risk assessments.
- To understand procedural control measures in relation to the Packaging Quality Management process.
- Responsible for tracking Packaging Risk Assessment progress and to report progress to the line manager.
- Drive continuous improvement in compliance and efficiency with relevant processes.
- Proactively support all Pack team members, act as a backup as required and support high performing collaboration in order to achieve the agreed targets.
- Be a visible leader in quality and food safety compliance.
The job holder Is expected to form close relationships with packaging suppliers and cross functional teams resulting in high quality risk assessments completed in a timely manner with compliance progress constantly being monitored.
Experience.
Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent BSc/MSc degree is preferred
Packaging and/or Quality background is desired.
- Quality mindset: drive for our first principle: "Quality"
- Packaging compliance and Interest in Packaging
- Some experience in a Food Manufacturing environment working in Quality, Food Safety, Engineering or Product/Process development is preferred
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance & Hygiene programs such as HACCP/ISO 22000
- Experience with internal & external audits is desirable
- Experience with standards implementation Is desirable
- Good project management experience (across quality, efficiency and growth projects) with the ability to motivate and work with a technical team
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
