Procurement Assistant to support the existing Procurement Department and contribute towards the continued growth of the business.

About Us

About the role:


As Procurement Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of customer orders by effectively managing supplier delivery and supporting the Manufacturing Team with their daily workload, expediting orders to ensure timely delivery ofproducts and services.


Your Responsibilities will include:


  • Updating the real time orderbook
  • Processing Sales Orders
  • Obtaining competitive quotes for required components
  • Raising Purchase Orders on suppliers
  • Expediting suppliers for both components & documents, including order acknowledgements
  • Reviewing & approving supplier documentation including material certification
  • Scheduling work on shop floor for next 46 weeks
  • Managing subcontractors and subsupplier documentation
  • Preparation of Customer delivery notes
  • Adhering to current Health & Safety regulations
  • Ensuring all IT systems are kept up to date at all times
  • Updating monthly KPI's.
It has both a reactive and pro-active element.

You will be expected to successfully fulfil your key responsibilities within the team role including effectively managing aspects of the company order book, as well as ensuring the timely delivery of customergoods.

You will be trained to achieve the above, also utilising the company's bank of work-instructions.

There will be a need to regularly review and identify any issues or barriers preventing timely completion of the departmental and your individual workload,working closely with the broader Operations Team.


About You
You will need to regularly interact with both the internal office & manufacturing areas of the Company.

Other significant skills and attributes required in this role include the importance of being planned, organised and driven, with good routine monitoringskills, together with good communication skills and effectively and pro-actively telephoning customers and suppliers.

Superior interpersonal, customer care and relationship building skills are also required.
