Employability Skills Trainer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employability Trainer to work for a company that operates as a college and has received a rating from OFSTED of 'Good' with some 'Outstanding' features.

The company is awarded winning, having an excellent reputation for looking after their employees and welfare. They deliver a wide range of government training programmes qualifications in Traineeships and Employability programmes.

This role of Employability Trainer will involve travelling to a variety of delivery centres in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, where all expenses are claimed from home.

Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Employability Tutor

  • Actively support, mentor, and motivate learners across the learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification. Some of the contacts will be online and will include delivery sessions through Microsoft Teams andVirtual Learning platforms.
  • Provide insightful, constructive, and informative feedback to help the learner maximise their potential.
  • Assess learners' needs and set robust plans and targets to meet their needs on an individual basis.
  • Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, working with them to raise their ambition and aspiration, ensuring they realise their full potential.
  • Manage individual learner targets
  • Proactively monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of own workload and working practices to ensure deadlines and targets are met and that the learner has an outstanding experience.
  • Manage data for learners including initial assessment, enrolment, and daily registration and ensure all requests for ALS & support needs are processed efficiently.
Experience and Qualifications Required for the Employability Tutor

  • Recognised Teaching Award is highly desirable
  • Proven track record in classroom delivery, whilst achieving high levels of student success.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds including individuals that are not engaged in Education, Employment, or Training (NEETS)
  • Understanding of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework
  • Experience in progressing the learner's journey using tracking software
  • Full UK driving license and access to own transport is highly desirable, but not essential
