Based at London Waterloo and London Nautical School, SE1

Contract for Services with Oasis Hub Waterloo

£40 per hour - Up to six hours per week

Oasis Hub Waterloo is seeking a specialist child and adolescent therapist to work with young people in a client focused, trauma informed capacity.

Most of this role will be based in London Nautical School providing therapy for young men aged We work with a diverse cohort of young people, the majority of which are of African and Caribbean ethnicity.

This role will need to be culturally competent, taking in consideration the cultural, social and individual factors that can impact effective engagement.

Many young people this role will support will have been affected by issues such as adverse childhood experiences, trauma and low self-esteem.


Qualities we are looking for include:

- proven experience providing therapeutic counselling with inner city children and young people

- solid understanding and experience of supporting vulnerable/at risk young people with complex needs and trauma

- a team player, with excellent and adaptable relational and organisational skills

- able to be self-motivated and work independently


Oasis Hub Waterloo is a fast-moving, innovative charity which offers opportunities to its employees to grow - the Child and Adolescent Therapist will be instrumental in supporting Oasis Hub Waterloo services to be trauma led and trauma informed alongside other Oasis Waterloo project leads.

Oasis Hub Waterloo provides a broad and inclusive range of community development services for vulnerable and isolated people.

Our services incorporate two Academy schools (one primary and one secondary), a children's centre, a city farm, sports programmes, targeted youth programmes, a foodbank, debt advice centre, a library, a café, a community centre, adult learning programmes and a great deal more.

We deliver these services over a range of locations in Southwark and Lambeth reaching more than 1,200 beneficiaries every week.
