Description

We are looking for a shop floor quality inspector to join our client where they manufacture forgings, hot, and cold pressings, and other associated metal products.

Processes also include CNC machining, welding and fabrication, manufacture and supply of mechanical fasteners and other customer specific products. Markets include, Construction, nuclear and MOD.

The company holds several third-party approvals:
IS09001, IS014001, IS045001, NHSS3, EN15048, EN1090 and CARES TA7 technical approval.

Hours: 7.45am-4.45 Monday to Thursday inclusive and 7.45am-3.45pm Friday.

Lunch:
Ipm-1.30pm Breakfast: 10:am-10:15am

Holidays: 33 days per Year inclusive of bank holidays.

Payment Type:
Weekly/Rate Negotiable depending upon experience.

Reporting to:
Quality manager.

Main duties will be:

Ensuring production processes are working to specifications. Routine inspections, pass off and Initial Sample Inspection reports. Goods inwards checks and receipting Investigate customer complaints.
Encourage a right first time and continuous improvement environment.
Maintain the calibrations system.
Active involvement in problem solving.

Skills required:

Able to use standard quality inspection equipment.
Able to read/interpret dimensional drawings and technical documents. Good verbal and written communication skills Computer literate
Ability to work both within a team, and independently.
Have an engineering background.
Good attention to detail
Experience within a similar role is required.
