TEXO Recruitment have an immediate need for an experienced
General Foreman to manage and support a number of employees and contractors here at
TEXO Port Services, Blyth.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel
  • Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
  • Managing and mentoring employees and contractors
  • Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs
  • Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets and procedures
  • Developing and managing project budgets and quality standards for all sites
  • Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials
  • Managing and processing contractors' and employees' time sheets

Previous experience within a similar role in an engineering / oil & gas setting is essential.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
From £22.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Blyth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
