Salary:
£25,000 plus bonus

Experience

Required

  • Engineering (or similar) degree or post graduate qualification.
  • Desire to learn about preparing and submitting R&D tax relief claims in the sector.

Preferred

  • Adept at translating technical conversation into concise and compelling written documents.
  • Strong numerical ability, attention to detail and firsttime accuracy.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of wider business and economic issues.
  • Interact readily with technical professionals, and have outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in autonomously and in a close team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word packages.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the Identification of qualifying R&D projects and corresponding expenditure through participation in technical discussions with clients.
  • Assisting with technical assessment of projects inline with HMRC R&D tax relief guidelines and preparation of supporting technical documentation.
  • Interaction with clients' senior technical and financial staff to develop a comprehensive understanding of the claim inline with HMRC's R&D Tax Relief Guidelines.
  • Preperation of claim reports and documentation for client review and approval.
  • Managing personal workload and maintaining client information via a CRM system.
