Overview:

We are seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join our team.

As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing transportation operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.

Duties:


  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities
  • Communicate with drivers, staff and customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure ontime delivery
  • Resolve any issues or delays in transportation operations
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including logs and records
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimise transportation processes
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency
  • Act in accordance with Speedel's core values of integrity, quality, customer focus and teamwork
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably required to achieve the companies objectives

Skills:


  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Customer service experience along with an excellent telephone manner (required)
  • Previous transport industry experience a bonus but not essential (full training provided)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Problemsolving skills with the ability to think quickly on your feet

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
