Summary of Position:
Entry level position. To build, manage and maintain excellent working relationships with UK and EU suppliers. Driving best pricing, product ranges and service with the Supply Chain whilst ensuring contractual obligations are met.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management. Develop and maintain relationships with UK/EU/preferred suppliers
  • Work with Buyesr to promote/manage the PPP program

Supplier / Product education:

  • Coordinate and arrange Supplier showcase workshops for sales team. '
  • Coordinate the Supplier Evaluation process through Qualtrics and communicate results to Buyer.
  • Manage Supplier set up process on Basys
  • Support the Logistics Dept with any Shipping Doc queries (COO's/LTSD's).
  • Work with Buyers Benchmarking core commodity products and analysis of results to ensure best pricing
  • Champion the production and analysis of supplier spend reports for the Dept
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
  • Support client / New Business RFI's / RFP's
  • Assist is resolving supplier disputes / mediation. Ensuring all parties are kept up to date and resolution is in a timely and effective manner.
  • Developing more EU supply routes (retail, sustainable, manufacturing)
  • Researching, developing and communicating new product ideas within the team


As the role evolves over time, it may also be necessary to change some elements of this job specification to meet the changing needs of the business.

  • Commercial awareness. Attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate margin improvement and negotiation of best prices from our Supply Chain
  • Good analytical and Excel skills
  • Ability to selfmotivate, good 'can do' attitude
  • Good working relationships with existing and new suppliers
  • Awareness of retail trends and quality of new product ideas are effectively communicated internally
  • Work closely with Buyers on complex projects
  • Support New Business Pricing Tenders
  • Good working relationships with internal teams eg Finance, Compliance, Warehouse to ensure KPI's are met.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Manage own time to effectively run several projects are any given time.
  • Awareness of personal limitations and know when to ask for help when required
