This is a fantastic opportunity for talented Senior Software Engineers to join our team within Shell Energy Trading, which is at the forefront of our Powering Progress Strategy.

We are home to Shell's global LNG Marketing and Trading business and to Shell's Gas and Power trading businesses in Asia, Australia, Americas, Europe & Africa.

What's the role?

This position has the following accountabilities:

Solution consultation and development in accordance with the enterprise technology principles, methods, standards, and practices.
Contribution to functional excellence in terms of definition and maintenance of standards, methods and tools, bringing in best practices from market standard implementations.
Manage complex integration scenarios and interfaces between onpremises solutions, cloud and legacy systems.

What we need from you

Extensive software development experience broadly ranging from frontend, backend, cloud automation and orchestration with depth in one or both of frontend and backend development
Significant domain experience in a Trading/Banking environment with Gas, Power and/or Environmental Products being highly desirable
Handson Proficiency in one or more of the programming languages (.NET 5+, Python etc.) with Cloud Native Platform Development with Azure Services
Proficient in one or more of Data Development (SQL Databases, No SQL, Cloud Datastores etc.) technologies
Proficient in Front End Development using React & TypeScript
Proficient in Cloud Native Deployment with CI/CD Pipelines. [One of GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps] into serverless containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
