Personal Assistant/Carer (Self Employed)

Rate of Pay:
£18 per hour

Hours: 1 hour evenings 10.30pm pm

(Flexibility for either two PAs to cover seven evenings between them, or one PA covering up to six evenings. Please make it known what your preference is when applying)

This elderly couple lives in Great Sutton (Ellesmere Port) and needs support to manage various health problems to keep them safe and maintain independence.

Experience in supporting and understanding diabetic needs and dementia care is essential, along with a caring and practical approach to daily assistance.

The family are looking for quality carers who can provide continuity in their parents' lives.

MUST ALREADY BE SET UP AS SELF EMPLOYED AND HAVE A UTR NUMBER, REFERENCES AND A DBS CERTIFICATE.

Overview of Tasks:

Duties will include:

Support with getting ready for bed and helped into bed
Assisting with dressing/undressed
Assisting with personal care including toileting and continence care
Medication prompts
To undertake any reasonable task requested by the client/family
To help and assist with daily tasks as they arise

Person Specification

Ability to use own initiative
Honest, reliable, efficient, confident and a good timekeeper
Nonsmoker
DBS check required once successful
Appointment of the applicant is conditional upon receipt of satisfactory references
The client's family will be conducting the initial interviews. A second interview would be required with the couple and family if successful at stage 1.

It is a requirement, due to the nature of this role, that any applicant must have been vaccinated against COVID 19
