Salary:
Basic £25,000 - £28,000 OTE £31,000 - £34,000
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm, Every other Saturday 8:30am - 12:30pm
Due to continuing development and growth we are have a fantastic opportunity available for a Parts & Service Advisor to join a busy specialist Renault Service centre in Chatham
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Good working knowledge of a parts department including its processes, pre picking, ordering, stock take, technical knowledge what parts are used where and why.
- A passion to deliver a high standard of customer service
- Confident personality and can take dealing with customers in their stride
- Excellent telephone and facetoface communication skills
- Administration skills, be able to use computers with confidence and the ability to organise and prioritise work
Service Advisor key responsibilities:
- Establish rapport with and provide outstanding care to the customer
- Contact customers to book in planned / non planned work from MOTS to servicing and non reactive service work
- Identify and anticipate ways in which you can help the customer and achieve sales targets by selling technician labour and products
- Book in customer vehicles for servicing, with the objective of maximising labour utilisation and efficiency
- Arrange alternative transport for the customer (courtesy cars where possible) and liaise with drivers regarding pickup and delivery of customer vehicles
- Manage and follow up all work in progress on customer vehicles; liaise regularly with the customer and Workshop Controller (and Technicians as required) to meet prearranged time frames.
- Ensure the customer understands the service charges what work will be or has been carried out involve technical advisers to answer queries where necessary
Parts advisor key responsibilities:
- Establish rapport with and build exceptional working relationships with internal team members, being on hand to provide all their parts and stock needs to enable a smooth running department
- Identify buying opportunities, running a just in time stock ordering system with mínimal stock held for regular consumables.
- Identify and anticipate ways in which you can help the service department achieve their targets by ensuring parts are ready for work allowing technician labour hours to be achieved for a busy team
- All aspects of running a parts department, taking ownership of stock, stock profitability, stock levels and running an efficient department.
Previous Automotive Experience is Essential
This role will require an individual who is able to multitask and manage a workload flowing from one department to the other.
This will require exceptional time management skills, the ability to forward plan and ensure work booked in for vehicles has the required parts pre ordered where known or organised and rescheduled into the diary accordingly.
The parts department is the lifeblood of the service team, and has to provide a strong level of support to the team enabling them to achieve their targets and complete the work for customer to the required time lines.
