Solicitor NQ-2 PQE - Insolvency

We are working on behalf of a reputable law firm looking for a solicitor that is about to, or has recently qualified to undertake corporate and personal insolvency to work as part of the cross-office Business Support and Insolvency Team.

The role will bebased primarily in the Cardiff office, working closely with the Partner who heads up the team and supporting the wider team in London, Southampton and the Thames Valley.


This is what you'll be doing

  • Undertaking corporate and personal insolvency work
  • Supporting the wider team in London, Southampton and the Thames Valley
  • Working closely with clients, including insolvency practitioners, high street banks and other lenders, investors, directors, companies and individuals
  • Handling administration appointments, security reviews, sales of businesses, winding up petitions, bankruptcy petitions, bankruptcy derivatives, matrimonial home proceedings, transactions at undervalue, preferences and recovering directors' loan accountsand LPA/Fixed Charge Receivership's

The experience you'll bring to the team

  • Recently qualified and completed a seat in insolvency or corporate to 2 year PQE with experience in insolvency
  • A desire to retrain (having a background in litigation, corporate or banking law)
  • A working knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986 and Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 201
  • Excellent technical, research and communication skills
