Aerotron Composites Ltd (ACL) is a privately owned company, one of a number of successful aviation companies in the Aerotron group.

At our site in Chatteris we manufacture composite aircraft components for a number of major aerospace manufacturers.

We are currently expanding our manufacturing capacity and in 2023 will launch new repair capability for airlines within a new build extension of our current facilities.

We are looking for Scheduler to join our Production Control Team.

The Production Control Team (PCT) are collectively accountable for the on-time delivery to customers and work cross functionally across departments, to convert the schedule into a production plan, manage risks and opportunities across Production and be consistent in communication to all stakeholders on the forecast production delivery date.

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the efficient planning and scheduling of all work through the business. Managing of current and future capacity requirements and constraints.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • With the PCT, own the Master Schedule; working with Engineering, KAM and Production teams to schedule jobs across Production
  • Planning and release of all jobs to production, following associated system and documentation requirements, in line with production delivery dates
  • Creation of detailed production plans for all work centres, based on available capacity and the monitoring and reporting of the adherence to these
  • Report weekly at Capacity planning meeting, the capacity loading of the business. Report should include input from sales where required, current and future capacity taking into consideration current order book and high probability prospective orders
  • Identifying capacity risks and opportunities and recommending mitigations to Operations Managers and Head of Production
  • Reforecast production delivery date in the ERP system based on desired production delivery dates to stock if early or forecast delivery dates to customer if exceeds customer contract date
  • Inform relevant key account manager about changes to production delivery dates and reason for the delay
  • Reporting of relevant KPI's, including schedule adherence

Other Duties:
Supporting KAM and Ops team members to create initial project schedules

Support with creation of revenue and sales planning figures

Support with validation of cost of sales at the end of every month

Support with data integrity validation

Fully comply with Company Policies including Health and Safety at all times

Key Skills

  • Selfdriven with excellent organisation and administration skills
  • Analytical individual with the ability to recommend production plans based on sales and capacity
  • Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Ability to understand a manufacturing environment and to coordinate multiple customers demands
  • Experience of working in a production or operational environment
  • PC literate, advanced knowledge of MS excel essential and other MS office including project desirable
