About us
Our plumbing and heating company based in Lincoln is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to start immediately.

We hold new build contracts with National Housebuilders across the East Midlands. You will may be required to travel to our sites across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.


Responsibilities:

• Assist with the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure ontime delivery
• Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies with orders or deliveries
• Assist in analyzing data to identify costsaving opportunities and improve supply chain efficiency

Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchasing records and inventory management
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
• Familiarity with logistics processes and procedures
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports using software such as Microsoft Excel

This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Purchasing Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the procurement process and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
