Description

An opportunity has arisen for the post of a band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, specialising in psychosis within the Wigan Early Intervention Service.

The team works with individuals aged years who are experiencing a First Episode Psychosis.

In this role, you will be working alongside our Senior Psychological Therapist and another CBTp practitioner providing CBTp to clients with complex needs.


There is an expectation that you will deliver family interventions, the current model being the Meridan model of Behavioural Family Therapy, as well as supporting others in the team who are providing this intervention through consultation and supervision.


The post holder will also help to facilitate the continuing Professional Development of the team including complex case discussion, training events and will be involved in service development.


The service has good links with local clinical psychology programmes and the regional CBTp training centre and is supportive of research and development.

Supervision will be provided both clinical and management. The post holder will also have regular opportunities for CPD, developing their own clinical skills as appropriate.
