Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust is recruiting for a Procurement Systems Officer to join the Procurement team.

The role will primarily be responsible for the management of internal catalogues and administration of other systems such as the e-procurement system and contract management systems.


This is an exciting time to join the Trust, with the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital due to open in Spring 2024 which will include an investment in the Procurement team and systems.


The Procurement Systems Officer is responsible for the daily maintenance, security and general administration of the GHX Catalogue repository and the provision of support to the Procurement Systems Team Leader and Head of Local Delivery To provide an effective and professional service that delivers on-going cost efficiencies and benefits to the Trust.


Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust Procurement team is a member of the Black Country Alliance (BCA) procurement collaborative, along with The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, aiming to improve procurement services through collaboration.


The BCA Procurement team is circa 50 strong, covering diverse areas such as strategic procurement, clinical engagement, operational procurement, materials management and receipt & distribution, with additional investment in the team happening as part of the MMUH project.
