Small Business Role Model (Bexley, Brent, Hackney, Harrow and Havering)
At Shaw Trust we're dedicated to building a future where rewarding employment is accessible for all.

Our Spark Change Programme plays a key role in helping young people to access what they need to make a brighter future for themselves and their communities.


As a Small Business Role Model, you will volunteer with NEET young people living in the London Boroughs of Bexley, Brent, Hackney, Harrow and Havering to provide insight on running a small business and inspire young people to set up their own businesses.

Through a mix of online and face-to-face events, we want you to:

  • Attend sessions to provide your insight and successes on setting up a business
  • Mentor young people with a business idea who are eager to start
  • Help get young people engaged in activities in the community
  • Assist by providing advice on marketing and financial planning
  • Play your part in getting young people into education, training, and employment

Boost your confidence, skills, and CV by supporting the Spark Change Programme.


If you can give us - 6 hours per week, we'll give you all the training and support you need to become a
Small Business Role Model.We can be very
flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have.

Some travel and other expenses may be covered too.
