£21,630 rising to £22,325.25 per annum

The Service


Wellbeing Norfolk & Waveney provide a range of support for people with common mental health and emotional issues, such as low mood, depression or stress.

We work with you to help you make the necessary changes to improve your wellbeing and quality of life. Our services are free and are available to people aged 16 and over living in Norfolk & Waveney.


The Role:


This role will sit within the Peer Support Work team, providing supervision for Peer Support Workers within the Wellbeing Service and empowering them to provide the best possible recovery-oriented support to clients.

The role will work alongside the two other Peer Support Work Supervisors to develop and deliver training to Peer Support Workers and make a significant contribution to the ongoing improvement of the Peer Support Work service within Wellbeing.


This is an exciting time to join Mind and become part of the partnership with the Norfolk & Suffolk Mental Health Foundation Trust delivering services within the provision of the Norfolk and Waveney Wellbeing Service.

The service is commissioned to help people over 16 with mild to moderate mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.


Among Other Responsibilities You Will:


  • Communicate in a clear, concise and compassionate way to Peer Support Workers on a variety of complex and difficult issues regarding their delivery of support to clients
  • Work alongside peer Support Work Team Leaders, to identify skills gaps and training needs for individual Peer Support Workers and the team as a whole.
  • Lead on the planning and delivering of service improvement projects that relate to Peer Support Work client practice.
  • Provide support to Peer Support Workers to achieve effective recordkeeping, that allows for good governance, accountability and sustainability within the services.
  • Anticipate and identify operational problems and bring them to the attention of operational managers and offer potential solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training to Peer Support Workers to address skills gaps as and when necessary.
  • Assist Team Leaders in the creation of Professional Development Plans/Appraisals.

What We Are Looking For:


  • Personal lived experience of accessing mental health services and psychological distress and interventions that helped recovery OR experience of supporting someone within this situation.
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment.
  • Knowledge of Wellbeing Services and pathways.
  • Knowledge of Primary Mental Health Care.
  • Working with clients and their families.
  • Leadership and facilitation of groups and forums.
  • Understanding of any relevant legislation associated with the role.
