Electrical Supervisor

Location:
Oxfordshire, travel as business needs require


Salary:
£40,000 per annum


Hours:42.5 Monday - Friday

Robert Heath specialises in providing domestic and commercial electrical works within the Public Sector and Social Housing.

We are currently engaged in long term contracts with Housing Associations and Local Authorities & the MOD covering over 100,000 properties across the UK completing such works as EICR, CCU upgrades, ECVP installations, Electrical heating and renewable works, LED retrofit lighting, Emergency smart lighting Installations, Full Property rewires.


We are looking for an
Electrical Supervisor to be responsible for monitoring the quality & safety of the day-to-day operations.


Reporting to our electrical manager you will be responsible for field engineer supervision including, auditing, field liaison, technical support, and general H&S company process.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing specialist Sub Contractors and direct labour.
  • Assess the quality of work that the electrical engineers are providing.
  • Organising work audit schedules.
  • Managing labour on site.
  • Dealing with any technical issues that may arise.
  • Project support and mobilizations.
  • Making sure that safe working practices are always maintained.
  • Delivering toolbox talks & technical briefs.
  • Delivering inductions.
  • Complaints management

General

  • To maintain standard of dress that is appropriate to the role and in accordance with the organisation's dress policy.
  • To always maintain confidentiality and to ensure respect for, proper observance of and adherence to Robert Heath's confidentiality policy.
  • To take all reasonable care of the health and safety of her / himself and of other persons who may be affected by her / his acts or omissions.
  • To work at any other Robert Heath location as and when required.
  • To undertake any other duties which are consistent with the post.

To be successful in the role:

  • Due to the job requirements, you will need to drive
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a fulltime 'Supervision role'
  • City and Guilds th Edition of the wiring regulations,
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
  • Testing & Inspect 239
  • Gold Card (desirable but not essential)
  • AM2 (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours with regards to site Health and Safety
  • IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
  • Essential knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements and Electrical Safe Systems of Work
  • A strong knowledge of the domestic and commercial industry and site operations including working knowledge of statutory legislation regarding health and safety and the need for rigorous risk assessment and method statement processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills ensuring compliance and high standards of work through effective communication with colleagues and residents.
