About the role:

Your role will incorporate building meaningful, trust-based, consultative relationships with existing and prospective clients. You will also be required to provide on-going relationship management for our existing clients.

You will conduct regular meetings with clients both face-to-face and remotely in order to increase awareness of the business, its products and services and to develop cross-selling opportunities.

In addition to your sales responsibilities, you will oversee the UK account management function.

The Account Managers are key part of the sales team, and you will work with them to ensure that they achieve their objectives.

They will report into you and will require day to day support, coaching and mentoring plus regular performance reviews to assess progress and set goals/learning objectives.

This is a growing function within the business so you will be required to help build the team with the Head of Distribution not only from a resource perspective but also establishing them as a consistent and evolving function within the sales team.


Job responsibilities:


  • Support the business in planning and delivering on targets
  • Work with financial advisers to understand their business model, current client base, approach to client segmentation, risk profiling and CRM system requirements
  • Grow the level of funds under management by developing new and existing relationships
  • Manage the Account Managers as a team including headcount resource and assist with performance management with the Head of Distribution
  • Work with the Account Managers to plan and execute their strategies to ensure targets are achieved and their approach is consistent with the requirements of the business
  • Schedule, prepare and deliver training sessions with intermediary clients
  • Ensure delivery of proposals and marketing documents to prospective clients
  • Monitor and understand the position of our competitors and trends of the market to help to strategically develop our business
  • Build trusted and credible relationships with other teams within the business to ensure we exceed client expectations
  • Ensuring the integrity and culture of our firm by adhering to risk and compliance policies
  • Attendance at sales meetings
  • Support and develop the account management team
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Distribution on the performance of the account management team and suggest improvements where needed.

Qualifications:

10 years + financial services experience.
