Ship Finance Senior Associate - Corporate/ Commercial

The Role:


  • To produce clear and concise documentation.
  • Negotiate the terms of transaction documents.
  • Transaction management and administration
  • Management and supervision of junior associates, trainees, and paralegals.
  • Development of own internal and external network of contacts and play an integral part of business development within the team.
  • Attend and help to arrange business development and profileraising events.
  • Develop and maintain legal knowledge and understanding both generally and in core areas.

Requirements:


  • Excellent academics, ideally gaining a 2:1 at degree level.
  • Extensive and proven record of experience of commercial maritime transactions.
  • Experience and knowledge of working across multiple jurisdictions and experience in working in different time zones.
  • Experience of business development.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently and within a diverse international commercial shipping team.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise realistically.
  • Resilient with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to delegate work and supervise proficiently.
