We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer / Assistant Buyer to join our Team.


About the Role


This role is perfect for an experienced Buyer or someone looking to take the next step in their career in the field.


Working within the procurement team and assisting the commercial team you will be responsible for the procurement of materials for construction projects in accordance with company procurement procedures, ensuring programme dates and specifications requirements are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate supplier enquiries for contracts and tenders
  • Collate and analyse supplier quotations
  • Place purchase orders for materials from requisitions
  • Assist with the management of our supply chain, monitor and analyse supplier performance
  • Identifying and developing new suppliers
  • Liaising with management, commercial teams, site staff and suppliers
  • Stock control / management
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Construction Industry
  • Training on inhouse packages will be provided but you will need to be IT literate with good knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
  • Ability to work on own initiative but know when to seek assistance as required
  • Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills
  • You will be thorough, be good with numbers and pay attention to detail
  • You will be career driven, resilient and have a strong work ethic
  • You will be a handson, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in the company's longterm future and success.
