£1000 joining bonus
Company car and fuel card provided*The position is alternate weekend days 12 hours, alongside mobile patrol work and filling in on other sites.
As a security officer you will be an essential part of the team, demonstrating a high level of appreciation for customer care and safety.
The strict fulfilment of safeguarding, fire regulations and committing to businesses policies are paramount to the position, as well as a firm basis in public relations and assisting in dealing with difficult people and situations.
- Be able to build a rapport with clients
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Provide a 5year checkable work history
- Have good observation skills
- Be able to defuse heated or violent situations in a calm and rational way
- Have a driving licence
- Be physically fit
Key Tasks include:
- Providing a professional and friendly welcome
- Liaising with clients, customers and colleagues
- Acting as a point of customer support and handling incidents inside and outside of the site
- Providing a security presence to ensure the safe running of the site, venue or event whilst enhancing the customer experience
- Patrol inside and outside the site
- Watching people's behaviour and dealing with conflict
- Deal with emergencies
- Cooperating with emergency services and management
- Providing first aid assistance
- Writing incident reports and complete other documentation in a clear concise way.
- To check and make sure fire exits are not obstructed and operational
- To supervise the evacuation of staff and students in the event of a fire
- To check all areas of the site, to make sure all hazards are dealt with appropriately
- To be able to operate CCTV, intruder and fire alarms
- Have basic DIY skills

£11.40 per hour
