Description
The provision of high-quality focussed learner support through in both face-to-face and online settings, whilst accurately reporting on progress.


This will include 1 to 1 and group learner support, updating support workbooks, maintaining support logs in line with business requirements and ensuring high standards in attendance and punctuality.

Also assisting in the development and maintenance of learning support materials.


Main Responsibilities

1.


To assist in the training of learners attending short courses in both face-to-face and online settings as directed by the Business Development Manager.


2.
To support other learners and groups including the maintenance of records of progress records and support logs


3.
To counsel, motivate and mentor learners who need extra support as directed.


4.
To participate in demonstrations and practical activities with learners and trainees on all courses.


5.
To provide objective and accurate feedback to learners and report as required on attendance and progress.


6.
Build and maintain professional and meaningful relationships with learners, treating them with consistency, respect and consideration.


7.
Be a role model to promote positive values, attitudes in supporting trainers to manage behaviour.


8.
To contact learners to maintain retention and attendance on each of the courses that you are supporting.


9.


To attend meetings, courses, SPS Open Days, engagement events and jobs fairs considered being of benefit to the Company and individuals.


10.
To promote and adhere to SPS Training Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.


11.
To promote and adhere to SPS Training Health & Safety Policies and Procedures


12.
To support in the management of learner behaviour in accordance with SPS Training policies.


13.


Promote the welfare of individual learners and vulnerable groups and to ensure safeguarding arrangements are adhered to at all times.


14.
The active promotion of and commitment to best practice in equality, diversity & inclusion.


15.


Contribute and demonstrate fully and at all times the positive promotion and role modelling of the SPS STRETCH values and professional behaviours expected of all staff employed by SPS Training.


16.


Undertake any other duties as required by the Business development Manager/Training Team as may be reasonably expected in relation to the post.

Education and qualifications
Minimum L2 qualification in Maths and English or the commitment to achieve this qualification within a specified time period

Certificates


Experience
Experience of support people with learning difficulties or disabilities

Experience of working with confidential information and knowledge of how to keep this safe.

Experience of working within an education setting.
