Description
We are a growing team based in Prague (Czechia), developing world leading game-based military simulations for major NATO powers and their allies.
We are constantly looking for ways to advance the whole industry, using the latest technologies and trends (such as whole world simulation, virtual reality and motion tracking).
Position Overview
Environment Artists are responsible for the creation of so-called "Environment Art" (vegetation, natural features, cultural features such as buildings, bridges, etc).
Their primary responsibility is to work on various external and internal projects, making sure the project's art assets are well constructed and delivered.
They seek to coordinate with the other development functional disciplines and make sure that our art assets are created in an efficient manner.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work closely with the Lead Environment Artist and the Development Team, and be responsible for creating highquality environment content.
- Produce trees, bushes, grasses, and more to populate the whole world using our internal tools.
- Own and maintain the database of vegetation assets covering the whole globe.
- Help to improve vegetation look, accuracy, and variety.
Management
- Offers solid communication skills, both oral and written.
- Observes deadlines; endeavor to exceed expectations.
Process
- Works closely with the Lead Environment Artist to maintain technical consistency and quality of all assigned projects.
Knowledge
- Demonstrates a level of proficiency with standard artwork creation tools like 3DS Max, Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, Zbrush, etc...
- Strong understanding of model and texture optimization to create performant outputs
- Passion for games as well as a clear knowledge of current modeling and texturing practices
- Strong understanding of modern game art pipelines and methodologies, knowledge of PBR rendering, texture, material, and its relationship with lighting
Key Requirements
- 2+ years of games industry experience with current gen tech.
- Strong portfolio showing 3D/2D art skills and demonstrating a high level of artistic creativity.
- Interest in vegetation part of environment art
- Experience with vegetation creation tools (Speed tree,)
- Good English (verbal and written) communication skills
Preferred Requirements
- Strong lowpoly and Highpoly modeling skills
- Experience with photogrammetry
