At Surrey, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential and that children are best supported to grow and achieve within their own families.

By working together, we will develop flexible services which are responsive to children's and families' needs and provide the right level of help at the right time.

This will shift focus away from managing short-term crises, towards effective help and support for children, young people and their families at an earlier stage.

We are now pleased to announce a fantastic new opportunity within the Family Resilience & Safeguarding portfolio for a
Head of Early Help & Family Support.

This will be a key role in reshaping the future delivery of an early help system ensuring that policy, practice, and agency agenda align to implement a shared and co-ordinated vision of early help across a large county.

Central to this will be the implementation of a partnership model across Surrey which is based in communities and co
- designed with children, young people and families. It will be visible, accessible, responsive and adaptable to the local needs of families and consider their lived experience.

Working collaboratively across directorates and wider partnerships, particularly the Thriving Communities senior leaders; your role will be to ensure seamless service delivery which avoids duplication and maximises the effective use of resources.

A priority will be to develop a shared dataset across the partnership, which supports the planning of priorities across district and boroughs.

Implementing performance metrics and using the Supporting Families Outcomes Framework, you will develop a cost benefit analysis to evidence the impact of Early Help & Family Support.

We are looking for someone who can balance a strong understanding of working in a large local authority with a proven record of building and maintaining effective partnerships to develop innovative and effective early help services for children and families.

Join us at Surrey and play a pivotal role in reshaping the future of early help and family support services.

Together, we can create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of children, young people, and families in our community.

At Surrey, our values and behaviours are just as important as our skills and abilities. They shape who we are as an organisation. Find out more about the values we follow.
