PR Manager - Chester (Hybrid Working - 3 days in office) - £35,000 - Agency
They need someone who will be a highly organised, self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must have experience of writing punchy and engaging content for online and offline PR and raising brand awareness.


You will already have a range of media contacts and have the skills and the ability to build new relationships with internal/external stakeholders and press.


You will be responsible for

  • Building strong relationships with various media and external stakeholders, including national and regional press
  • Writing strong, newsworthy content for a variety of media
  • Selling in stories to journalists and press
  • Assist the marketing and social media team in development and implementation of creative campaigns to run across online and offline platforms and support the business' overall creative
  • Work across various aspects of the business to build relationships, uncover stories and understand what is newsworthy
  • Be able to work proactively and reactively, sometimes under strict media deadlines and highpressure situations
  • Implementing strategy and developing new creative ideas to reach brand and PR KPIs
  • Planning, pitching and seeing through endtoend creative campaigns
  • Reporting on weekly and quarterly KPIs and targets
  • Managing the PR department budget
  • Managing external agencies
  • Delivering influencer campaigns in line with brand USPs
  • Overseeing the company CSR and ESG initiatives, and communicating them internally and externally

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience working in a fastpaced environment and to tight deadlines
  • Experience working with large brands on B2C PR campaigns
  • Experience of managing media and stakeholders in brand crisis situations
  • Experience working with macro and micro influencers to deliver branded campaigns
  • Knowledge and experience of working with clippings, monitoring and database tools
  • Strong relationships with a range of journalists and media
  • Minimum 4 years' experience required.
