We are AMS.

Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.


Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.


At present we are looking for a
MRPC to work on our client's site in
Solihull on an initial
12-month contract.

The role is going to be on a
hybrid basis.


You will be wholly responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts/items), by managing supplier order books and critical parts, which feed into our Controls facility value streams and our aftermarket customers.

You will ensure that the quality requirements that can have an impact onto parts delivery are understood and reflected within the ERP system and that these are validated within the supply chain.

You'll need to be educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (E.g.

APICS) or suitable equivalent based on proven experience, Working knowledge of and experience with MRP and/or ERP systems (bonus if SAP).

MS Office or equivalent working skills, and be able to take responsibility for your own development.


Daily duties:


  • You will be wholly responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts/items), by managing supplier order books and critical parts, which feed into our Controls facility value streams and our aftermarket customers.
  • Ensure the ERP system is maintained with robust & credible data that creates suitable supply elements that support the delivery of the customers' demands and requirements. Understanding of different roles / functions / processes (e.g. Manufacturing, Purchase, NPI, Quality etc.) and how they contribute to delivery.
  • Ensure awareness of inventory implications across the value stream resulting from ERP system planning parameters and settings and to optimise these where permitted, whilst minimising customer delivery risk.
  • Manage supplier performance, where performance diverges from the plan, identify and drive actions required to facilitate supplier recovery.
  • To have an appreciation of typical structures of a supply chain and where applicable associated Bills of Materials. To be actively engaged in the ERP compliance processes thereby ensuring robustness of plans by maintaining high integrity data.
  • To carry out as required (periodically scheduled as agreed) the required business reviews (on site at suppliers where possible) and assessments in order to understand the capability to deliver to the company's demand requirements, with respect to constraints, capability, bottlenecks and Load/Capacity imbalance.
  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification (E.g. APICS) or suitable equivalent based on proven experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deliveries and make balanced business decisions under challenging ambiguous circumstances.
  • Understanding of different roles /functions / processes (e.g., Manufacturing, Purchase, NPI, Quality etc.) and experience of production planning and associated control processes.
  • Able to take responsibility for their own development
  • Working knowledge of and experience with MRP and/or ERP systems (bonus if SAP).
  • MS Office or equivalent working skills.
