Description

To act as a role model and demonstrate expertise in delivering evidence based practice To support cluster matrons/ward managers/sisters/charge nurses/ district nurses, caseload holder in mentoring clinical practice and meeting professional development needs of the nursing team to ensure that patients care standard and their experience are exemplary and any poor practice is identified and actions implemented To actively participate in campaigns related to improving the patients experience, for example Saving Lives, Score Cards and Productive Ward processes Outcome based commissioning To work in accordance with the Department of Health, Nursing and Midwifery Council and trust policies relating to infection control, safeguarding children/adults, standards of record keeping, medicines management, learning disabilities, privacy and dignity and other policies as appropriate to the specialist area Contribute to the creation of an environment in which change can be initiated and supported.

Be responsive to the changing needs within the Directorate in relation to local and national policy and guidance.

To provide leadership and support to promote and maintain high standards of patient care To work clinically in practice areas 50% of the tie in an educational capacity and provide clinical education in practice.
