1.

Robot Programming and Setup:


  • Set up and program robotic welding systems based on work instructions, engineering drawings, or specifications.
  • Define welding paths, parameters, and sequences to ensure precise and consistent weld quality.
  • Calibrate and adjust robotic welding equipment, such as torches, wire feeders, and sensors, for optimal performance.
  • Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired welding results.

Welding Operations:


  • Operate robotic welding systems to perform various welding techniques, such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), on metal components.
  • Monitor and control welding parameters, such as voltage, current, wire feed speed, and gas flow, to ensure proper penetration and weld quality.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify any defects or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure compliance with welding standards and specifications.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:


  • Perform routine maintenance on robotic welding systems, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing consumables (e.g., welding tips, wire spools).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions, programming errors, or welding defects that may arise during production.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians or external service providers for more complex repairs or maintenance tasks.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including welding helmets, gloves, safety glasses, or respirators.
  • Adhere to welding codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to robotic welding operations.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and any weldingrelated issues or adjustments made.
  • Generate reports on production performance, quality metrics, and maintenance activities as required.
  • Communicate any significant production or quality issues to the supervisor or relevant stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication:


  • Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of welding requirements.
  • Communicate any programming updates, process improvements, or equipment needs to the supervisor or relevant stakeholders.
  • Support and mentor junior operators or technicians, as needed, to enhance their robotic welding skills and knowledge.
  • An understating, interest and enthusiasm for manufacturing and engineering in practical terms
  • Certification or training in robotic programming and operation is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques and procedures, such as MIG or TIG welding.
  • Familiarity with welding codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions and weld symbols.
  • Experience with robotic welding system setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality welds.
  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them.

Desired experience and qualifications

  • Previous experience as a welding robot operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Salary:
£15.08-£17.45 per hour
