Salary £38,000 - £42,000

Based in London, Hybrid Working Offered 2 days in the office a week

Can you imagine a world without books? Having never been read a bedtime story or visited your local library? Going to school and being greeted with empty classrooms and sharing one book between your whole class? Not knowing the joy of getting lost in a greatstory.

Around the world millions of people do not have access to books.

At Book Aid International, they work to get books into the hands of those who need them most by donating brand new books to schools and libraries around the world.

Last year, the Charity madebooks available to an estimated 19 million people in 24 countries.

Since 2016, they have provided books to readers in a total of 32 countries and every year they strive to do more because they know that books have the power to change lives.

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Book Aid International to recruit an Individual Giving Manager to join their vibrant fundraising team.

The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for managing the Individual Giving Programme which raises over £1 million annually, including community and legacy income streams.

Your role will involve managing direct marketing campaigns including donor acquisition,retention and uplift through all on and off-line channels. This role will have 1 direct report.

Your role will cover the following areas:

  • Managing the development and delivery of the Individual Giving Programme, including donor acquisition, retention and uplift through all on and off-line direct marketing channels
  • Producing compelling campaign materials which reflect best practice in individual giving and taking innovative approaches to drive income and retention
  • Managing complex projects with multiple external and internal stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes to agreed schedules
  • Managing the offline acquisition campaigns by working collaboratively with suppliers to maximise results using detailed data analysis and landscape mapping
  • Creating, monitoring, reporting and reforecasting project, income line and expenditure budgets
  • Creating, interrogating and manipulating complex data sets for campaign delivery, result reporting and strategic development
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable track record of managing an Individual Giving Programme including successful delivery of acquisition and retention campaigns through a wide range of on
- and off-line channels

  • Experience of developing and managing designed materials with multiple internal and external stakeholders from concept through to completion and delivery
  • Experience of using data for campaign delivery and monitoring and of using data analysis to inform strategic decision making
  • Knowledge and experience managing design, print and production processes
  • Successful experience in copywriting techniques to find fresh and engaging ways to communicate with a range of audiences through multiple channels
This is a key role within the charity.
