Purpose:


The purpose of the Junior Salesforce Administrator is to build Salesforce administrator skills whilst also working with users to ensure the platform is used effectively to achieve the charity's strategic and operational aims.

Sitting within the Technology team, and reporting to the Courses, Comms & Infrastructure (CCI) Development Manager, the post-holder will provide ongoing technical support and administration of the Salesforce systems.

They will work with multiple users from across the charity and implement the latest relevant Salesforce updates alongside completing a Salesforce Administrator training course.


Responsibilities:


  • To deliver and maintain an excellent CAP user experience and offer generous support on our Salesforce platforms.
  • To successfully pass key milestones in Salesforce Trailhead and Salesforce Administrator training, as defined by the IT managers.
  • To stay up to date with the latest Salesforce and industry innovations and training, including participating in local user groups and attending Salesforce conferences, passing on knowledge to users as appropriate.
  • To deliver effective training and documentation for users.
  • To resolve support issues escalated from the IT helpdesk either directly or with third party suppliers.
  • To work alongside Admins with support from the system product owner, CCI Development Manager, and wider Technology leadership on Salesforce projects from definition through to closing and reviewing once a solution has been released.
  • To escalate any project hold ups or major risks to the CCI Development manager.
  • When appropriate training is complete, create and maintain bespoke Salesforce dashboards and reports to enable CAP to track progress against key indicators.
  • To take on responsibility for organising system and user testing of new developments prior to release for assigned system(s).
  • To ensure knowledge is shared across the IT team, particularly with the IT helpdesk.
  • To resolve stakeholder requests for enhancements and modifications to the Salesforce ecosystem under the direction and guidance of the Salesforce administrators

Measurable Outputs:

  • Training milestones reached and full Salesforce Administrator training completed within 12 months of starting in the role.
  • Delivering successful change within customer time and quality expectations.
  • Maintain good or better customer satisfaction results for the assigned system(s).
  • Positive user adoption, usage and feedback on systems/features after launch.
  • Continual improvement in approaches to system support and project work.
  • Successful scheduled maintenance and release deployment out of hours.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Being willing to pray with staff and be fully engaged with our Christ centred culture.
  • To encourage friends, family and other contacts to support the charity through the Life Changer program, and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Attendance at annual CAP staff conferences.
  • Complete all compulsory CAP training within given timescales.
  • Provide cover for end users during holiday periods (e.g. Christmas and new year) as part of a department wide schedule
