CAD Technician / Planner

South of Wolverhampton - West Midlands
4-to-6-month temporary contract
£13.00 to £13.50 (PAYE rate) + overtime at enhanced rates

This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning business who've been around for almost 60 years, and who are known for their innovative range of technical products, and outstanding customer service.

The Role
Based out of their impressive West Midlands facility with an established team, you'll be responsible for:

The design of products for manufacture utilising AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Accurate creation of BOMs
Scheduling parts for manufacture
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and endusers
Carrying out design and quality reviews, in line with current compliance needs
Ensuring finished product is fit for purpose and solves any initial issues
Maintaining accurate workflow, to achieve deadlines

This is an interim role for a minimum of 4 months, with a good possibility to extend.

The Person
You'll obviously need certain things in your locker in order to be considered, which includes:

Good experience within AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Experience within product or engineering design
Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM)
An ability to produce design layouts
An ability to create BOMs
Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders (internal and external)
Previous experience of managing design and quality reviews
