Team Leader role within Revenues, Benefits and Transactional Services.
This post is managing a team of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Specialists that process Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support and Discretionary Housing Payments.
Supporting the Technical Manager for Benefits with allocating work tasks, monitoring and reporting on performance and manage work load priorities.
This is a fast paced working environment and requires someone that is organised, can work well as part of a team but also work well individually making decisions.
The role has overall responsibility for the day to day leadership of staff and will be responsible for all aspects of employee management (following Plymouth City Councils policies and procedures), team morale and welfare.
The role is to support, develop and manage the team to deliver a service that satisfies customers, is performance orientated and provides value for money through a motivated and high performing team.
At this time the Housing Benefit Specialists that this role will be responsible for managing are working from home, with the option to go into the office at Ballard House if required.
For this reason it is essential that the post holder has experience using Microsoft Teams and has experience of managing a team remotely.

£15.00-£16.00 per hour
