Salary:
Circa
£55,000 depending on experience

The opportunity:


An opportunity has arisen in a relatively new and expanding team that is responsible for validating the external supply chain to ensure successful delivery of parts required to support Development programmes in preparation for full rate Production.

Thisopportunity requires an individual who has experience in Engineering, Quality and Project delivery

  • Manage the project Industrial Validation Plan, e.g. assessing, recording and monitoring supplier capability.
  • Undertake Industrial Validation activities such as: Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production.
  • Monitoring/Reporting validation activities through industrial risk registers.
  • Collaborating and supporting a multifunctional team within the supply chain.
  • Ensure validation and control activities are diligently performed in order to ensure production readiness.
  • Analyse Supplier nonconformances relating to the Manufacturing System, track to closure agreed improvement/corrective actions.
  • Use your experience to prevent issues occurring during series production
  • Directly contributing to MBDA's competitiveness and growth strategy

What we're looking for from you:

  • An organised and diligent Quality or Manufacturing Engineering biased professional with an appreciation for project delivery/project management & strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
  • A desire to work with project and change management
  • Capable of supporting suppliers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans.
  • Able to deliver onquality, ontime and oncost in series production.
  • The team works towards the development and delivery of the Procurement & Supply chain elements of new product introduction, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing and Quality organisations.
