Description
We are seeking a Quality Officer to lead the development and compliance of the Quality standards by liaising with site managers and offering a hands-on practical approach to driving a quality culture and improvement initiatives across a multisite operation.
- Responsibilities
- Drive a Continuous Improvement Culture, addressing route cause analysis, NCR's, targeting identification, implementation and rectification of all corrective preventative actions.
- Work with Site Managers, functional leaders and operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and procedures.
- Support on the development of standardised documentation for the Quality Management System.
- Drive the Non-Conformance process, analysing and reporting on route cause analysis and corrective actions, including customer, internal, supplier non conformances.
- Undertake audits in accordance with the audit schedule and ensure that any nonconformances are reported and managed within a timely manner.
- Prior Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
- Competent knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Ability to get the buyin of people onsite to implement improvements.
- Lead on the quality improvement initiatives across the Reconditioned Pallet Division sites, delivering a practical and lean approach to site processes.
- Undertake project work for quality initiatives that support the development of an effective and standardised Quality Management System.
- Have prior manufacturing or logistics experience from a company successfully utilising Continuous Improvement.
- Be a certified internal auditor, ideally ISO9001 (Quality Management).
- Provide support and training to site quality champions to drive the quality culture/awareness to site personnel.
- Monitor all internal nonconformances and drive through route cause analysis and implement the appropriate control plans to prevent reoccurrence.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent communication and teambuilding capabilities and be flexible to work within a diverse range of manufacturing and logistics environments.
- A "can do" attitude with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
- Needs to be a practical person, willing to be handson and lead change from the front.
- Computer literate and confident with Excel, Word and internal reporting and database management.
- Solutionfocused and analytical problem solving.
- Excellent standard of written and numerical literacy.
- Must be willing to work and travel across the UK
