Description

We require a bubbly and enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator to join our team at a Nursing Home in Selly Park.

The position is for 30 hours per week, which will vary over 5 days dependent on needs of the service.

The work requires a positive determination to understand and work alongside staff and residents, to promote their well being and to work as a member of a wider team.

All residents should be treated with respect and dignity, given a choice, privacy and allowed to be as independent as their emotional and physical condition will permit.

To identify, wherever possible, the personal interests of each resident, and to use these to help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents, through conversation, outings, sharing in discussion of past and present events, reading, writing, hobbies and other activities in accordance with the agreed programme.

To plan and run a weekly programme of activities for residents.

To keep accurate records.

You will have knowledge of therapeutic activities.
