Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Wellingborough

4 on, 4 off rotation days & nights - 05:45-18:00 / 17:45-06:00

Up to £46,000


We are looking for a motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.

You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation.

With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by awelcoming team of engineers.

The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.


Role Description

  • Working at Heights Ensure high production availability of machines onsite
  • Ensure all breakdowns are repaired with minimum of downtime
  • Carry out all work according to safes systems of work
  • Understand job responsibilities and comply with Company policies and SOPs to confirm to all safeoperating procedures
  • Review repair and maintenance procedures to reduce downtime
  • Maintain a safe and tidy workshop
  • Records changes to electrical wiring diagrams (Electricalbiased Engineer)
  • Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Carrying out quality inspections on jobs
  • Liaising with other Engineers and production colleagues
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of working with machinery e.g., Granulator, Hammermills, Extrusion Machines, Colour Separators
  • PLC operation and fault finding
  • Electrical installation of plant machinery
  • Multi Skilled
